WHAT IS CONDITIONAL DESIGN?
Thinking of the word "condition" this is instantly indicating us that conditional design is the result of a set of rules or conditions that have been considered when trying to communicate and address a message, therefore a way of approaching something rather than a media. The best example consists of games. However this could take a more abstract form as well being used in order to represent data.

Designers who contribute to the development of this way of communication is represented by a group of artists based in Netherlands.
Their work "focuses on processes rather than products: things that adapt to their environment, emphasize change and show difference."
Their aim is "to adapt our way of working to coincide with these developments, and we want our work to reflect the here and now. We want to embrace the complexity of this landscape, deliver insight into it and show both its beauty and its shortcomings. "

How do they do this?

They represent data using a series of conditions when giving it a visual form.
